About The Block

The Writers Block InK was started in 2003 as a 501c3 non-profit organization to encourage youth to use writing and performance as tools to address personal and social challenges on the community stage. Students create original productions which explore critical themes and issues.

Summer is here and the Block is accepting registrations for the upcoming season!

Enroll your student(s) today for our upcoming session Summer on the Block. This intensive camp will be filled with performing arts focused classes, along with a series of workshops and Friday Fun days! Students will be enhancing their skills in acting, creative writing, stage design and management, dance and much more! Scholarships and payment plans are also available.
